This November 7, 2016, will mark 25 years since NBA legend Ervin Magic Johnson shocked the world with his breaking news announcement to retire from the Los Angeles Lakers and basketball on November 7, 1991. Magic’s last game before making his announcement took place on October 23, 1991. Philip (Phil) J. Picott, was one of only a small group of courtside photographers shooting at The Forum in Ingelwood, CA, as this was originally thought to be just another pre-season game. Without access to a flash strobe system, while shooting with negative film, Picott skillfully captured these amazing one of a kind action shots of Magic Johnson during his last game!
